While in residency in Kyoto for Chambre - étapes chorégraphiques en chambres d’hôtel - (Room – choreographic stages in hotel rooms), I discovered the love hotels and decided to work there. In these hotels, total anonymity is guaranteed, and the rooms – incredible – are designed as an infinite number of decors capable of satisfying every fantasy (from the Loire castle to the Swiss chalet not to forget the tennis court, the gym and even the SM room).

I decided to produce a self-portrait in a love hotel in the form of a performance filmed by Nathalie Viot as witness. Following a large number of unsuccessful negotiations, we managed, thanks to the intervention of a Dumb Type artist, also a sex worker, to obtain a room for a few hours.

The intrusion of two French women in this place appeared extremely problematic but thanks to a miracle we found ourselves in the room of mirrors fitted out with numerous body-care accessories.
