à Degrés

2004 - 2005

Autoportrait à Degrés (Self-portrait at Degrés)/2004

the result of a meeting with Daniel Gerber, the owner of the domain, a farmer who loves contemporary art and who accepted to welcome the stages for the creation of a self-portrait in dialogue with the place.

The force and beauty of Degrés result from a very unusual dosing in the combination of traces and vestiges of an ancient garden built up around the house and of its successive transformations into an agricultural activity and other uses of the site.

The paths formed by sheep blur the layout of the former passageways, and incredible hundred-year-old trees still open up to a myriad of interstitial spaces.

This self-portrait takes the form of photos and films presented on various occasions.

-The project of a public meeting in this place has not yet being concluded, despite the interest shown by local entities-.
